More Highchair Hijinx!

Again with the multitasking...feeding himself and giving us the bird!

This is from Aunt Sheila's Bar-B-Que on Saturday, May 16th. It was a really warm day, and Alex stayed cool in the shade, rolling around in the grass!

We originally planned to start him out on bananas, but since we believe he may need help 'moving things along', we started with pears instead!

It was a bit sour I guess, but he continued to ask for more! He loves them!!

6 month stats!

Alex had his 6 month appointment! He did great with the shots - he barely cried! Here are his stats:

Height: 27.25"

Weight: 17lbs 7oz

Head Circumference: 17"

I guess seven is our lucky number! Although he only gained 1 pound 4 ounces, the doctor said this was normal. Since he is more active now, he burns more calories! Everything is great!

So far, he can't quite sit up by himself, sleeps through the night from 8:30pm to about 7:30am, drools a lot, has his 2 bottom front teeth, rolls over both ways, laughs, enjoys petting the cats, and makes lots of noise!

5 months 3 weeks old!

We can't believe Alex is almost 6 months old! Where has the time gone? So what's new, you ask??? Well, he's got 2 bottom front teeth and he got a new rubber ducky bath tub since he outgrew his infant tub! He's very interested in the remote control and our cell phones, and loves petting our cats (a.k.a. grabbing a handful of hair and pulling)! He still loves his jumperoo and plays happily in his highchair. He is not quite sitting on his own yet, but I think that will come really soon. Next week he will go in for his 6 month doctor's appointment, so we'll have new stats then! So for now, enjoy these adorable pictures!

OK, so he's only playing with one toy, but it sure looks like he's having a good time!

First trip to the beach!

We went to Oceanside, Oregon for the weekend to celebrate Mother's Day and Jeremy's birthday. Well...I wouldn't quite call it a weekend. We ended up leaving at 4am Sunday morning because Alex wouldn't stop screaming. I guess it was time to go! Of course he was fine as soon as we packed up and put him in the car. We'll try again some other time!
