Standing!

We are so excited! Just the last couple of days, Alex has started to pull himself up. Today, he pulled himself up and was caught standing! We are soooo not ready for this!

Alex had his 9 month doctor's appointment today! He's not quite crawling on all 4s, but he's got a mean army crawl! He's trying to pull himself up, sits on his knees, and seems to like pretty much every food he's tried. He says "mama" and "dada", and some other gibberish! He still only has his bottom 2 front teeth, but he is definitely teething. We are expecting his top front teeth any day now. He is wearing 12mo size clothes, and will soon be in 18mo tops. We can't believe how much he's changing every day!

Point Defiance Zoo Meetup!

I met up with some ladies that I met online at the Point Defiance Zoo in Washington! We have been sharing our experiences with each other from early on in our pregnancies, through the birth of our children, and now our present challenges as Mothers! This was the first time we had met, but we chat on a daily basis. All of the babies are around the same age - 9 months old. We had a great time and look forward to seeing each other again!

Random, cute pics of an 8.5 month old!

Alex is growing so fast, we can't believe it! He's getting close to 9 months old. He is great at doing the 'army man' crawl, but is getting up on his hands and knees more. Yes, he's discovered he's got knees. He occasionally tries to pull himself up and is sometimes successful. He is no where near ready to walk yet - thankfully! He is interested in everything around him, getting into things he shouldn't be getting into.

As far as food - he hasn't met one that he doesn't like yet! He even ate spinach and potatoes (yuk - it tasted awful). I think blueberry pancakes will be our next adventure!

We haven't tried to measure him, but we weighed him the other night. 21 pounds, according to our scale. We'll find out on Monday, when his 9 mo doctor's appointment is! We'll update his stats then. He's wearing size 12 mo clothing...and growing!

yup - he can still squeeze into the jumperoo! I don't know what we'll do when he outgrows it!

We are having a great time experimenting with food! Alex sure loves eating his Puffs (which are like cereal) and Mum Mums (surfboard shaped rice crisps)!!
